You're Not Lazy

September 6, 2024

Take Care of yourself

You're not lazy. You're probably thirsty.

Drink some water

Make some tea.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy. You're probably overwhelmed.

Take a fucking break.

Put the phone down - the email can wait.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy. You're probably just tired.

Take a nap.

Drink the chamomile tea and go to bed at a reasonable hour.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy. You're probably sun-deprived.

Go outside.

Touch grass - do it every day.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy. You're probably hungry.

Have a snack-maybe more than one.

Eat when your body asks for food.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy. You're probably fed-up.

Set some strong boundaries.

Stop giving so many fucks about too many things.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy. You're probably overcommitted.

Not everything is worth doing.

Just say no.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy. You're probably bored.

Find something that sparks your curiosity.

Feed your mind with something new.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy. You're probably disconnected.

Call a friend.

Talk to someone who lifts your spirits.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy. You're probably uninspired.

Do something creative just for fun.

Get messy with it—paint, write, dance.

Take care of yourself.

You're not lazy.

P.S.

If you want a more compassionate relationship with yourself, I can help you learn how to get there.

If you're curious about coaching, message me for an absolutely no-pressure chat about how easy it might be to start.

I want to chat about the things you obsess over when you lie awake at night. I want to unpack your dreams and your nightmares. I want to talk about who you were before all that shit dimmed your shine and how to get her back.

I’m not here to fix you because I don't think you're broken—I’m here to help you fall in love with yourself and your life again. No mood shaming, no gaslighting, just real, transformative coaching from someone with three decades of experience. Ready to reclaim your fire? Let’s set some sparks flying. DM me.

A person becomes more capable of making decisions that align with what she knows, even when those decisions are difficult. She becomes less dependent on constant reassurance and more anchored in her own discernment. She becomes someone who can move forward without needing the outcome to be guaranteed.

A blog post on why self-love is anti-fascist, how capitalism feeds on self-loathing and self-abandonment, and why uncompromising self-devotion is a foundational act of resistance.

Without self-trust, people will override themselves the moment things get uncomfortable. They will abandon their own knowing in favor of approval, speed, or relief. They will build lives that look good but do not feel right.
