DIVERSITY & CONFIDENTIALITY

DIVERSITY

The use of the term "diversity" can mean many things to many people. Some may regard it as, at best, over-used and vague, at worst a twisted manipulation for marketing purposes.

As a straight white woman, I know understanding and practicing in actionable ways the concepts around diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency will be my life's work. I am aware of my privilege. I am still unearthing my blindspots and probably always will be.

I celebrate what makes you unique. I embrace all the things that make us different. I value your experience and perspective.

I actively work to create safe spaces.

If I get it wrong, I am open to hearing it. I will listen without judgment or pushback and course-correct immediately.

While I may not always understand your journey, I will always respect the path you have walked because everyone's path is sacred.

I can sum up my feelings and practices best by saying:

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE.

You are valuable.

You are whole.

You are loved as you are.

Confidentiality

Coaches are not bound by any licensing requirements or state regulations. Concerns about confidentiality in coaching engagements are legitimate because confidentiality policies vary from coach to coach and are largely unenforceable.

My commitment to you is simple:

I will honor and hold in strict confidence your stories and your secrets.

I will never use any product of our work together in blog posts or marketing materials without express written consent.

I will not share or sell your contact information.

If the nature of our work together is sensitive in any way, (and it almost always is), I will happily provide you a legally binding Non-disclosure Agreement upon request.
